A content moderator is responsible for user-generated content submitted to an online platform. The content moderator’s job is to make sure that items are placed in the right category, are free from scams, doesn’t include any illegal items, and much more.

In today’s world, a huge number of populations are using social media websites. However, few unscrupulous users make inappropriate content on the platforms that can hurt sentiment or can be offensive to some communities. For gaining traffic to their profile, some users use the trick of posting fake news, commercial spam, and pornographic content to a popular brand’s pages.
What are the most important personal qualities needed to become a good content moderator?
We need mods who are enthusiastic about the fantasy genre to help moderate social media channels (Twitter, Facebook and Instagram) related to specific shows.
You’ll work on a social media tool (Khoros), where you’ll monitor the discussion on different threads, and escalate what’s important. Our objective is to help our client to gauge the mood of the community and identify any trend.

24/7 coverage
Commitment:
20 hours per week
90 days (as needed)
What We Are Looking For a Social Media Moderation:
- Familiarity with a moderation tool (Khoros preferred)
- Good Familiarity with YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
- Passion about the subject matter
- Awareness of online trends
- Critical thinking skills
- Excellent English speaker
Social Media Moderation Responsibilities include:
- Moderating content on the platform
- Following approved processes and adhering to strict client guidelines
- Keeping up to date on all procedures
- Submitting timely shift reports detailing all activity from each shift
