Happied’s Event Planners (EP) are responsible for independently managing the lifecycle of the client experience from ideation to execution for virtual, in-person, and hybrid team-building and culture events.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

Happied’s Event Planners (EP) are responsible for independently managing the lifecycle of the client experience from ideation to execution for virtual, in-person, and hybrid team-building and culture events.

Once a client books an event with Happied, the EP will be the primary contact and will manage end-to-end planning for all their assigned clients. This includes overall account management and client relations, itinerary building, coordinating with partners including external vendors and internal talent, and responding to all customer service inquiries for the assigned client/account through the Happied platform. The EP is expected to provide timely, top-tier customer service throughout the entire experience that wows the client and results in a fun, memorable event. Think of the EP role as a cross between a traditional event planner and a customer success manager!

As an EP on the founding team, the EP is also responsible for creating and documenting processes, working with the product team to automate functions, and building a solid foundation for the Events Team.

Roles And Responsibilities

*Event Ops & Strategy

  • Work with Event Manager to strategize how to best achieve weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly goals
  • Build out process flows to streamline event creation
  • Work closely with Operations and Product teams on implementation of processes and new event flows

The EP will handle the following aspects of account management for dedicated accounts assigned to the said planner:

*Event Planning

  • Source and confirm venues, vendors, and partners based on client requests and event needs
  • Negotiate contracts and manage event budgets
  • Create personalized event plans and itineraries
  • Ideate and execute ways to better improve each client’s experience

*Communication

  • Introduction and planning calls with clients and stakeholders
  • Updates and messaging through the client portal
  • Logistics confirmations and itinerary plans
  • Responses to all dedicated account customer service inquiries

*Quality Control/Troubleshooting

  • Responding to customer complaints
  • Basic tech troubleshooting for virtual events in Zoom and Google Meets
  • Event management and problem-solving

Note: On-site and event travel are NOT required for this position.

Requirements

The successful candidate should LOVE the thrill of events and delighting people from all over the world. They will be very detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills. They will be extremely organized, friendly, responsive, and capable of managing simultaneous events. They should be a problem-solver and self-starter, committed to providing exceptional service, and have a can-do attitude with a solution-oriented approach to all situations that arise. The candidate should be operationally mindsetted, fast at adapting to new technology, and excited to help build a platform from the ground up.

Experience: At least 2 years in a corporate events, employee engagement, hospitality, and/or project management role and a bachelor’s degree.

Salary

$40,000 – $60,000 per year
