What are the most required skills among our tutors?
You will meet a lot of different students. They work in different industries and have various passions. You need to be open minded and have an interest in motivating students to learn and know their interests.
Be like a language coach for your students. Your students need help. Learning a language is not bed of roses. A great tutor encourages hard work, monitors progress and gives tips/feedback.
Practice the 80/20 golden rule! We don’t need chit chatter but someone who is able to guide lessons in a progressive manner. 80/20 rule is very important, It means that your student speaking time occupies 80% of the lesson and you have 20%. Students need to feel their communication level increase gradually. Asking questions and requiring detail explanations would be great help to ensure this.
Organization and proactivity is a really desired feature. You set your own work hours and that means you’re accountable for absence.
Note taking and regular feedback on every lesson is essential to achieve the best results.
Is there a required amount of work hours from a tutor?
We require from each of our tutors at least 10 hours of availability for work per week.
Depending on personal preferences, the tutor may report willingness to work more on a weekly basis, but requirement of minimum of 10 hours per week is not negotiable. Candidates who are not ready for this kind of commitment will be automatically rejected from the recruitment process.
Is there a time frame in which a tutor should be available?
Please, be mindful we are a polish company located in the Central European Time zone, all hours are provided with accordance to our time zone. We work 7-22 (GMT+2 time zone).
Is Chatschool cooperating only with adult students?
Chatschool as a company specializes in education of adults but younger students sometimes seek our services. From our tutors we are expecting willingness to work with both adults and youth.
Is Chatschool cooperating only with individual clients?
We are cooperating with individual clients and businesses.
Are all lessons carried out in a 1 on 1 environment?
We are having both 1 on 1 and small group lessons.
